Insect repellent & flashlight
Writing paper, pen, pre-addressed stamped envelopes
Water bottle
Masks are Optional

If possible, label your child’s clothing & other belongings
Do Not Bring to Camp ...
Cell phones, camera phones or valuable cameras ... Consider a disposable camera & remember to label it.
Disc players, radios, ipods or MP3 players
Money or other valuables
Food items that can cause allergic reactions.
Knives of any description, cigarettes or vaping devices, alcohol or drugs
Getting mail at camp is fun - Small care packages are nice, but letters are better!
Please keep it small. – small items like comics, cards, pocket books, stickers, etc are a hit.
Consider other children in the group who go without and ask your child to share.
Your child will be well fed at camp and snacks and special treats are provided during the week
Food Items that can cause allergic reactions will be confiscated.
Lots of Pictures are taken at Camp.
If you see this as a concern for your child, please let us know.
Please check your child’s hair for Lice before they come to camp.
If lice are discovered while at Camp Quin-Mo-Lac, either at the Registration Day Lice Check or throughout the week, parents will be expected to take their children home to complete a treatment. Refunds are not granted under these circumstances so please help us by ensuring that your child’s week gets off to a great start.
Visits by Parents, Guardians & those with Legal Custody
Camper custodial issues must be discussed with the Camp Administration on or before Registration Day.
The Camp must be notified of all visits to camp in advance.
Visitors must check in with the Administration upon arrival.
Telephone calls are not encouraged as they can create a problem with homesickness. If you have a concern, please discuss it with the Assistant Directors or your child’s counsellors on Arrival Day. The camp will keep you informed if there are issues involving your child that need to be discussed.
Directions to Camp *Please do not rely on GPS Directions. Some are incorrect & have taken families in the wrong direction.
From the West: Turn east off Hwy 62 South of Madoc on to the Quin-Mo-Lac Road. Go approximately 6 km. & turn left on to Camp Road. Turn left on to Franks Road & follow the road to the end. Turn right into camp.
From the East: Turn west in Tweed off Hwy 37 at the stop lights at Bridge St. East. Go up the hill past the Catholic Church & follow the Quin-Mo-Lac Road for 7 km. Turn right on to Camp Road. Turn left on to Franks Road & follow the road to the end. Turn right into camp.
